I haven't updated this blog for quite a while. Mostly due to work and getting back to school (which is half way over at this point) This summer I did alot, visiting new places, and making some of the best friends I've ever had.
Over the summer I visited Universal Studios and Disney World with my friend Ty for a week. Six Flags Great America in near Chicago with my friends Gabe and Steve. And Dollywood in Tenn. with Gabe and Carolyn. Along with spending countless hours at Kings Island mainly at Beast. I'll be taking at look back at these summer adventures along other awesome stuff on this blog.... I'll try my best to keep updated

Hershey Park Coal Cracker

We visited Hershey Park in 2009 and I absolutely loved it, one of my favorite rides there was the Arrow hydro-flume built in 1973 called "Coal Cracker" Unlike modern day water rides this one gets you wet but not soaked so its great for the entire family. The unique location of this ride with Sooperdooperlooper and great bear intertwining with it really adds to the experience and can't forget the trademark bunny hill at the bottom of the drop.

Geauga Lake's Log Flume

I visited Geauga Lake October 2007 unknowing this would be the parks final weekend. I rode nearly everything and I'm glad I did, including the Pepsi Plunge the parks vintage log flume originally named "Gold Rush"

River Adventureless

One of my favorite Kings Island attractions with its route dating back to 1968, This Flume is a great night time attraction which rarely has a line then. In 2010 the classic KI Flume will get a Peanuts retheme and a new name "Race for your Life Charlie Brown" It will be intresting to see the change.

This building is where I spent alot of my time the 2009 season. With Haunt and with SpongeBob 3-D after this season I really have a new liking for this attraction.

Facing backward this is the exit from the theater. The black wall you see is Urgent Scare closed for the main season.

LeSourdsville Lake December Visit

This small park in Middletown Ohio closed in 2002, I often drive by and I decided to take a walk.

Screechin' Eagle was the parks main attraction which is currently over 70 years old.

The log flume is hardly visible with the amount of brush around the tracks.

Rumor on the street and Cedar Point officals have been giving out hints about the up coming 2010 attraction. Located on and possibly around MForce Island as its nicknamed.

Cedar Point has posted some teaser photos on there blog site.

And being someone who notices small details. I remember while along the CP Train you pass a scene with moonshiners. So I brought up my 2007 photos and went searching for "White Lightning" references and sure enough I found one.
I only have photos of CP back until 2006 and this reference is still there so its most likely been there for a while now. But CP is known for planning ahead for new attractions far in advanced. The new ride is rumored to be announced very soon.

A few years ago I helped my Granny clean out there attic because they were moving. And I discovered some old toys. Which were my Grandfathers when he was a Child. A model Train from the 1930's and many metal army figures, along with model cars. I just thought it was cool. I hope someday these will be handed down to me.

Barn Exploring

There was this Barn in my home town which looked to be on the verge of demolition and I wanted to check it out before it was gone for good. After a 3 min drive I arrive and walk across the street. The former farm house which was to the left of the barn is now a pile of rubble and on the right side of the Barn the new town Middle school has started construction.

This is what the front side of the barn looks like from the main road.

I travel along back and this is what I see.

I take a step inside and notice a few things left over from the previous owners.

I basketball hoop is hung in the middle of the barn along with a mattress.

I noticed there was something under the floor boards about at the same time I found some stairs leading below.

It looks like at one time animals use to call this place home but more recently it has become more of a storage room. There was a good collection of bikes down here.

Outside this window you can see the dozer which took down the farm house next to the barn.

Coming back up the steps a old door is found being used as floorboards.

KI Mini PTR June 21st

My family went to KI for fathers day, we arrived at 9am waited and went straight for Diamondback at 9:30. Then soon after we were first inline at the Log Flume. These Mini Photo trip reports will display some of my favorite photos from that day. Including this Flume photo threw the plants which looks sweet make sure to click on the photos to get a larger more crisp image.

As we headed out to get lunch the line to get the $10 bring a friend on fathers day was HUGE.
I hopefully will be doing more Blogs, I'll try!

Kings Island June 14th 2009

I went to Kings Island for a couple hours today, from like 12:30-2:30. Rode Diamondback twice (Check out the huge box full of broken cell phones) then walked up to Guest relations to talk about my dads goldpass because the "free" parking feature won't show at the toll plazas but it does at the main gate. Headed over to Endless summer on Ice and watched the 1:30 show then got inline for Dropzone after. But ended up just walking threw the ride loading area to the exit because of the rain. Then left for the car. (My First Blog)
